I made the mistake of downloading a chord chart for Psalm 134 and not checking the chords before pressing "record." I've been playing most of these songs by ear, and the discrepancies between the chord chart and what I knew the song was supposed to sound like were messing me up.

We're almost through the Psalms of Ascent. Tonight I attempted Anglican Chant for the first time. It's a little bare without the other three parts, but it was fun to do.
I also tried something new with the microphone tonight. Worked fine during sound check but I ended up with some little bits of distortion on some high pitches while I was recording the podcast.

Today marks the end of six weeks in the count up to Pentecost. I have so much to be thankful for. Not only do I have an actual microphone now, but I will be able to play piano for Pentecost service this year!

Happy Ascension Day! Today marks the end of Jesus' time with his disciples and his ascension to the right hand of God.
